Happy Valentine's Day!

From Mr. Josh's Crew

It Makes Me Smile...

The class was in the middle of a junior great books discussion, and we were focused on which brother made a wise choice and supporting the answers with evidence from the text.  Cooper, who is highly intelligent piped in, and I was sure that he would have some new found profound wisdom to add.  Instead, this is what I got:
Mr. Neil, is that a real bowtie?  And your hair looks like superman's hair....

Mitchell discovered the science bin first and was going around the room telling everyone he is a mad scientist sheriff, notice the badge.
(Thanks Jody!)

This morning, during one of my reading groups, the kids were talking about how fast I write and how I know how to spell all kinds of words. One student said, "She knows how to spell hard words, like mermaid, because she went to college." Another student said, "Yeah, in Discovery, you learn how to spell obsidian." Cute!
(Thanks Hanni!)

While greeting students at the front door, Ian stopped and while pumping my hand said, "Can I say, Ms. Deborah, but my you are looking beautiful this morning!" (Who doesn't want to start the day off that way!)
